yes, yes and yes…

I am on my first 24 (day off – pronounced two-four)… It seems to have been a while since I last had time to think of things outside of camp, as being the programs guy, time seems to be consumed with planning or preparing for the next party/program/rainy day. Which is quite ironic since today has a 20% chance of precipitation and thunderstorms (anytime there is a chance of rain in Vallecito Valley it means there will be some rain). Hopefully they have a backup plan for the backup plan because I’m in charge of the backup plan and am not even there. Ha.

Camp has been good, for the most part, my new responsibilities are really demanding but I wouldn’t have it any other way since it is an opportunity to expand my experiences and continue to conquer my fears of being in front of people (yes, it is a fear).

On other news both of my bikes have been down for the count due to accidents on the road/path. My road bike is done as I went to get an estimate on fixing the back wheel, which was taco’d in the Iron Horse Bicycle Classic on mile 9. Yes, I did finish the tour, as a random guy who was involved in the crash offfered me his back wheel which was uneffected, he cracked his frame in the debaucle. To buy a new wheel it is going to be about $120+ and to rebuild the existing wheel it would be about $75+. So I’ve decided to fix my mountain bike instead and retire the road bike until I can buy a new one in the Fall.

My mountain bike blew a tire on my last ride at Telegraph in Durango, here is a picture to show the blown tire and my mustache:

That’s about all for now… more deep thinking later.
