trinidad solo…

Welp, i have been solo for the last 3 days (solo being the only whilte boy around the mission compound).  It has been a lot of fun, with time to lime (Trinidadian way to say “relax”) and time to read…  Not to mention the work we have been doing around the retreat center.  We have cleaned out the front of the center from the trash and old steel that had accumulated in the past few years and then yesterday and today, I’ve been the concrete mixer and have helped construct a building that will attach to the church.  It has been an educating experience.  Today I bought a ticket to fly to Tobago, it was $300 TT’s which is about $50 US.  It is only a 30 minute flight, including take-off and landing… don’t know quite what I’m doing except hopefully a lot of writing.  I am wanting to finish a couple articles and hopefully get some ideas down on paper that have been floating around my head in the last couple years… we’ll see how ambitious I get when I settle down over there… You could pray for some divine appointments as I don’t know exactly where I am going to stay, but I am sure it will work out fine.

 Until next time…
