I’m am not a circus clown nor am I a single mother. What I’m trying to say is that I stink at juggling… whether it is flaming torches, chainsaws or changing diapers, working, and preparing meals.
I can multi-task, but this is different from juggling. Multi-tasking involves taking multiple jobs, assignments, projects and working on them simultaneously or doing one thing while doing another thing, ie: every morning I drink coffee, while eating breakfast, while checking my email, while reading the Bible…. each task not dependent on the other and incorporating different motor functions and mental capacity.
Juggling on the other hand is much different. If while juggling chainsaws, I decide to take a sip of coffee, I will simultaneously burn my tongue and cut off my arm.
Juggling requires many things to work together as one… and this is what I suck at doing. I need to do a better job of juggling work, writing, running (and/or any type of cardiovascular workout), playing, eating healthy, and sleeping. A task much harder to do than one would think (yes, yes… I’m not married nor do I have a(ny) child(ren), which would render my attempt at juggling much more ineffective – although a more amusing sight to witness). So off I go, weary of the buzzing chainsaws, dirty diapers and flaming torches flying around my person, eyes on the goal ahead – to eat healthier, sleep more, get my heart-rate up to more than 150 for a continuous period of time, write elegantly, work more efficiently, and squeeze in some time to play.

sounds like work is getting in the way of the rest of your life, you should probably let it go
I have no doubt you’ll be circus-worthy in no time…
