jr. high is over…

Well, after 18 months of living the dream… it is finally over. The metal and ceramic that has been cluttering my mouth is gone, and I’ve been left with a set of straight, white, and slimy teeth!! Alls I can say about the process of removal is this… at one point I broke out into a cold sweat as they used a coarse polisher on my pearly whites, it felt like fingernails on chalkboard… except instead of fingernails they were using my teeth. It didn’t hurt, per se, just incredibly unnerving and uncomfortable. My entire body was tense, my palms sweating profusely and my eyes were squeezed shut… weird.

This afternoon, I pick up my retainer (invisalign… i think…) and I’ll have to wear those 24/7 for 6 months and then only 3 nights a week for life… cool.
